Merryl Silverman Haber
Merryl Silverman Haber was born in Queens, New York, and grew up on the South Shore of Long Island. She attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where she was on the Dean’s List and was a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society. Merryl studied at Middlesex University in London, England her Junior year. She majored in Economics and minored in Psychology, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1989.
Merryl then attended Whittier Law School, and she participated in Moot Court and the Homeless Advocacy Project. She worked throughout law school for personal injury law firms. She participated in a trial program that allowed law school students to represent workers compensation claimants at their depositions. Merryl received her Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School in 1992.
After being admitted to the California Bar in 1992, Merryl practiced multi-party construction defect defense litigation as a Senior Associate at Koletsky, Mancini and Feldman. Merryl was admitted to the Florida Bar and moved to Boca Raton, Florida, where she has lived since 1996, and has been an active member of the Boca Raton community. She joined Fertig & Gramling, a prominent insurance defense firm in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1996, where her practice areas included defending premises liability, general liability, professional malpractice, declaratory relief and coverage cases, maritime cases and commercial trucking and related cases.
Merryl brings her vast experience to Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith, PLLC, working primarily out of the Firm’s Boca office. She is enjoying representing injured clients and their families in auto negligence (including commercial trucking) and premises liability cases, and related liability injury cases. True to the Firm’s mission, Merryl is very active in the Boca Raton community, including leadership at Omni Middle School and Addison Mizner Elementary, and she also continues the Firm’s strong support for the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, the Levis Jewish Community Center, and the ADL.
