Florida Firearm Laws

Florida firearm laws are complex and difficult for even most lawyers to understand. However, we have spent years helping people faced with firearm charges.

It is easy to be a responsible gun owner and still run afoul of Florida law. Even if there is no intent for unlawful use, a person can still be charged with possession of a gun in public, on his person, or in his vehicle simply by transporting the firearm in an incorrect manner. This can result in penalties, such as losing the right to possess a firearm, a large fine, or even time in jail or prison.

Carrying a concealed weapon in Florida is frequently problematic. But as in every other aspect of Florida firearm law, the rules depend on many personal factors that are too complex to be adequately explored here. Different factors will affect how a person will be treated if he is convicted of the unlawful possession of a firearm. Rather than trying to figure out legal standing alone, it is best explain the situation to an experienced lawyer as soon as possible.
