Are there limits on damages in Florida nursing home abuse cases?

View More FAQ Videos

Only in punitive circumstances, the typical damages that one can seek in a nursing home abuse case consists of compensatory damages which are economic in nature, the past medical expenses and the future medical expenses associated with that particular harm, as well as the non-economic damages, which are primarily pain, and suffering, and mental anguish. There are no caps on these types of damages. However, they have to be realistic, or else they’ll never be able to be obtained.
