Speaker 1: Chapter 400 of Florida statute sets forth the residents rights for each resident admitted to a nursing home. Most important right, is the right to be treated with respect and dignity. In the event any of the nursing home rights are violated by the nursing home, the resident can seek damages which would include pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, activation or aggravation of a pre-existing injury or defect.
