How long will it take to settle my Florida nursing home abuse case?

View More FAQ Videos

Speaker 1: The amount of time it will take to settle a Florida nursing home abuse case is going to be very fact-specific. One of the factors is going to be the sheer volume of records. How long was the resident at that particular facility? The next one is how many defendants are there? It’s not uncommon for us to encounter cases where there’s multiple defendants because the resident has lived at several nursing homes, or perhaps a doctor also caused harm, which required us to bring in a doctor as well. So, a case could settle as quickly as 6 to 9 months, but the typical course is well over 1 to 2 years.
