Supporting Our Community Partners – Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County
Attorney Ashley Eagle has been volunteering at Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County for several years. The organization provides high-quality civil legal advice, representation, and education to the disadvantaged in order to protect their personal safety, enhance their opportunities and living conditions, and promote self-sufficiency.
Ashley began her legal career as an intern at Legal Aid Service of Broward County. During her time interning, she learned how to effectively defend against foreclosures, and coincidentally met her husband. After his job was transferred to Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, they met many hard-working and dedicated employees striving to protect our community’s most vulnerable and provide equal access to our judicial system.
Legal Aid needs our help. If you are an attorney, you can help by taking cases from Legal Aid on a pro bono basis. This will lessen the caseload for many of the staff attorneys of Legal Aid. If you are not an attorney but are interested in gaining legal experience there are volunteer opportunities available to you as well. The volunteer information and forms can be found on Legal Aid of Palm Beach County’s website at www.legalaidpbc.org.
