Supporting Our Community Partners – Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County

Attorney Ashley R. Eagle is the newest attorney to join the Firm. She is a volunteer with the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County and would like to tell you why this organization is so important to her.

My love for reading has shaped me into the person that I am now and continues to teach me new values and lessons as an adult. After reading “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee, I knew I wanted to become the best legal advocate I could be, like the courageous character Atticus Finch. The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County strives to provide adults, children, and families with literacy skills to help improve their quality of life and provide them with the opportunity to escape from stress and boredom and discover new worlds.

Would you like to help? The Literacy Coalition needs volunteers to tutor adults and children. However, due to the coronavirus, the volunteer opportunities are now limited. While we are waiting for normalcy to return, we can help the organization by using our social distancing time at home to organize our book collection and set aside books to donate to the Literacy Coalition.
