What is insurance bad faith?

View More FAQ Videos

Transcript

In Florida, insurance companies are required to settle claims when they can and should under the facts of the particular case. If an insurance company fails to settle with a claim when they could have and should have done so, they can be liable for damages over and above what they would’ve been liable had they done what they were supposed to do.
