What type of auto insurance is required in Florida?

View More FAQ Videos

Transcript

Unfortunately, Florida only requires property damage coverage and personal injury protection coverage. Florida does not require bodily injury coverage, which would protect you if you injury someone else in an accident, nor does Florida require uninsured motorist coverage which would protect you if someone with no or not enough insurance injuries you. Even though they’re not required, it’s important to purchase bodily injury coverage and uninsured motorist coverage.
